Production
With a dedicated high-mix, low-volume manufacturing facility, Panacis is able to support prototyping and early production efforts, while readying designs for mass production.
Panacis manufacturing services include manufacturing engineering, supply chain and logistics support, final assembly and test, and returns and repair support. Our facilities allow us to directly support the production of low-volume, highly complex products, and of products that will eventually transition to high volume production. We have a large and capable network of contract manufacturers that produce low-cost, high-quality sub-assemblies, including PCBs, plastics, and metal fabrication.
After products graduate from its production engineering team, Panacis provides our customers with turn-key production systems that can be handed over to higher-tier manufacturers with low risk and high yield.
Final Assembly and Test
With a diverse network of manufacturing partners, we are able to subcontract production of specialized sub-assemblies, allowing us to concentrate on the refinement of integration, final assembly, and testing. In our production facility, highly-trained Panacis staff perform mechanical and electronic assembly of a wide range of products.
The Panacis production facility is GMP-compliant, and many of our production practices are externally audited for compliance with product safety markings and for overall quality. We have dedicated facilities for the production of RoHS regulated products.
Supply Chain Management
Panacis procurement and supply chain management teams are vital stakeholders throughout the full product life-cycle. At the outset, the SCM team participates in strategic sourcing, finding not only the best components for a given design, but also alternate supplies of critical or long lead-time components. In production, we negotiate with a range of vendors to provide our customers with high quality and low cost sub-assemblies. Finally, as products graduate from the Panacis facility to high volume production, our SCM are often called on to manage contract manufacturers to ensure ongoing cost and quality goals.
Quality Control
Quality is a core component of our production services. We control and improve product quality through:
- qualification and approval of the supplier base,
- inspection and testing of sub-assemblies,
- design and use of tools and jigs for repeatable, high quality assembly, and
- design and use of software for comprehensive, semi-automated testing and calibration.
Logistics and Fulfillment
Panacis provides logistics support for the packaging, inventorying, fulfillment, and return handling of products under our manufacturing program. Many of our customers depend on Panacis for global support of their material handling needs.
Mass Production Readiness
Many products start their production life with Panacis before being transitioned at higher volumes to tier 1 and 2 contract manufacturers. Early production cycles present opportunities to validate and refine quality control procedures. From this, feedback to engineering teams allows for incremental design refinements that bring further improvements to production.
Through successive production runs, our manufacturing engineering team develops the tools, jigs, systems, and documentation to drive increased yield, superior quality, and lower production costs.
